1. Favourite colour and book in that colour.
My favourite colour is probably green, and the first green book that popped in my head was Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.
HOF also happens to be my favourite installment of this series, so that works out pretty well 😉
2. Describe yourself in 3 book characters:
I am not good at this, so I asked my friends to help and here is what they came up with:
Blue Sargent – The book squad has corresponding gangsey characters to match each of us and they all fit absurdly well. Mine is Blue because I’m short, opinionated, and I sass them a lot.
Elide Lochan – She first shows in the fourth Throne of Glass book, but I love her a lot. She’s small, resourceful, and not very strong but she manages to do what she needs to with what she has.
Hermione Granger – I don’t 100% see this one, but she is smart, bookish, and determined. I can also be pretty bossy, if I feel comfortable enough. Okay, maybe I see this more than I originally thought…
3. Hyped books – yay or nay? If yay, what was the most hyped book you ever read? If nay, what was the most hyped book you decided not to read?
Yay for hyped books! But it really depends on whether the book seems like something I would read anyway and what kind of hype it’s getting.
4. Recommend one book per season:
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Seeing as this one takes place almost entirel in the Spring Court, I can’t not recommend this one 😉
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. This one is entirely fun and entirely summery. It will forever be one of my favourite summer reads.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This one takes place in fall, is all about Cath adjusting to her first year of university, plus there is the pumpkin mocha breve. Need I say more?
5. Name one book that wrecked you emotionally:
Most recently, I’m going to have to say They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. That book took me on an emotional roller coaster.
6. Name a book that you always recommend:
This is hard because I always tailor my recommendations, so I don’t ever have one book I recommend universally. However, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas is a book that I think should be taught in schools, so I will go with that.
7. What book would you recommend with tea and cookies?
8. What is your guilty pleasure book?
I was going to say Twilight because despite what everyone says about it, it played a big part of my high school life. But a couple of years ago some asshole on my tumblr feed tried to shame me for being excited about the 10th year anniversary release, so I’m not gonna say Twilight either. I’ll say nothing at all, in fact – I feel no guilt for liking anything.
9. Favourite dessert and a book that reminds you of that dessert:
Favourite dessert is a difficult question to answer. Most of mine are Brazilian, to be honest, so a book that reminds me of them would be difficult to find. So I am going to say Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for all the amazing dessert descriptions at Honeyduke’s.
10. Are you a procrastinator? If so, what book have you been procrastinating reading?
Seeing as I didn’t outright get tagged by anyone and just wanted to do it after I saw Howling Libraries, I shouldn’t tag anyone. With the except of Dayla at Confessions of a Book Addict, though, because I really want to see her answers 😉.
Other than that, everyone else is tagged! If you want to do it, go for it and let me know so I can read your post! 😀
