Happy New Year!
2017 was a year of ups and downs, as they always are, and it had a lot more worldwide downs than usual. But it was pretty good year for me: I moved to Toronto, started blogging again, enrolled in the publishing certificate at Ryerson, and started a new job. Most importantly, I began to take steps to get me where I want to be, career-wise. So hopefully, 2018 will keep me going down that path.
Books I Read

Things I Did (in December 2017)
I did a lot of stuff this December, but the main one was travelling to Florida to visit my parents! In fact, I am writing this post from their living room. Of particular interest to us book nerds, however, I went to Universal Orlando and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I went in 2016, this year, and I’m already planning another trip this spring. Diagon Alley is so gorgeous that I get emotional every time (and I have to take to my HP-loving dad).
2018 Plans
- First of all, my Goodreads challenge has been set. I’m starting at the exact same number from 2017, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to kick this weird slow-reading habit and knock some big ones off my TBR.
- I’m going to continue my studies at Ryerson, and maybe make some new connections and learn a ton of new stuff about the publishing industry.
- I am hoping to upgrade my WordPress account (to get my own domain name and be able to edit my themes a little bit more freely).
- Finally, I want to see if I can actually maybe do either NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNo this year.
Happy 2018! I still have a couple of reviews to write, so you’ll be seeing more of me in the next couple of weeks (hopefully).
